ShowTrak preferences

Open preferences from Settings (gear) → ShowTrak Preferences. Changes save automatically as you make them, and most take effect right away. Anything that needs a restart is noted below.

Preferences are grouped into Features, Web UI, and System.

Features

Wake on LAN (on by default) Lets you wake machines remotely. Turn this off to disable Wake‑on‑LAN everywhere, including from the OSC/API.

Web UI

The Web UI is a browser version of the dashboard that people on your network can open at http://<server-ip>:3000.

Web UI Enabled (on by default) Turns the Web UI on or off. When off, no one can open it in a browser.

Password Protection Enabled (off by default) Requires a passcode before anyone can use the Web UI. Sessions are remembered per browser tab and can be ended with the Logout button.

Password (4 Digit Numeric) (empty by default) The 4‑digit passcode used when password protection is on. Leave blank if you aren't using a passcode.

Remote Script Execution (off by default) Allows scripts and Wake‑on‑LAN to be triggered from the Web UI. When this is off, the Web UI is read‑only — people can watch but not act.

System

Prevent Display Sleep (on by default) Keeps the Server machine's screen awake while ShowTrak is running.

Stop Accidental Shutdowns (on by default — restart required) Asks you to confirm before ShowTrak quits, so it's harder to close by accident. Changes to this option take effect after you restart the app.

Enable Autosave (on by default) Automatically saves your open ShowTrak file at a regular interval.

Autosave Interval (Minutes) (default 5) How often, in minutes, autosave runs. Only applies when Autosave is on.

Workspace Default Editor (default "System Default") Which editor opens when you edit script files from the Script Manager. "System Default" uses whatever app your operating system associates with the file; you can also choose "Visual Studio Code".

Remote access

The preferences window also lists the web addresses people can use to reach the Web UI from other devices on the network — handy for sharing with your team.

Tips

  • Quickly open the Server's data folders from Settings (gear) → Open Logs Directory or Open Scripts Directory.
